Hi Moms! Planning our 3rd trip for 5/5/11-5/13/11. Staying at CSR. I have never made a room request before, but I think it would be best to make one this time. What is the best way to make a room request? I have seen a lot of conflicting info.

Hi Amy - if you have a preference on the location of your room, I'd definitely recommend that you make a request.  While requests cannot be guaranteed, Disney will try their best to honor it.

Room assignments are made by the inventory or "back office" staff up to ten days prior to arrival.  So, if you wait until check in to ask, it'll be much more difficult for the cast members to accommodate your request.

I'd recommend that you call the resort directly ten days prior to arrival.  Ask to speak to the inventory or back office departments, then make your room requests.  Being as descriptive as possible helps - if you request a certain room and it's not available, it's hard for the cast members to give you a similar room.  So ask for "near the lobby" or "first floor" for example, rather than a specific room.

I hope that helps!  Have a great vacation!
