We are planning a trip this spring/summer and were wondering about the AoA resort ... would a 14yo boy like this resort, or should we stick with Pop or All Star Sports? We truly aren't in the room much, but I don't want him to completely dislike the room.

    Hi Emily!

I'm so glad that you chose to visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question!

DIsney's new Art of Animation Resort is absolutely spectacular! There's so much to see walking around this resort and the theming of the rooms is fantastic! My 14 year old daughter absolutely loved it there and especially enjoyed perusing all the sketches from scenes of Disney and Disney Pixar movies in the lobby. I think we could have spent hours there alone!

If you're able to stay in a suite at Art of Animation, I think your 14 year old boy would really enjoy the Lion King, Cars or Nemo themed suites. If you're looking for a standard size resort room however, the only option at Art of Animation is The Little Mermaid section. Personally, I don't think this would be a deterrent as you're really only sleeping in the room! There's so much to enjoy around the property itself. The food court, Landscape of Flavors, is amazing and the resort's dedicated bus makes transportation a breeze!

If you're wanting a standard size, value room and don't think your son would be happy in a Little Mermaid theme, I'd definitely recommend that you stay at Pop Century. Here, you'll get the best of BOTH worlds - literally! You see, Pop Century is located just across a small lake from Art of Animation. With the Generation Gap Bridge spanning Hourglass Lake, you can easily walk over to Art of Animation any time you wish to tour the amazing grounds, visit the lobby and even dine at the food court. Pop Century also has a dedicated, resort bus.

I hope this information helps with your decision making Emily!

Wishing you a simply Magical time as you plan your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World!
