We are planning a trip in the spring with our "tweens". The last time we went, we had a great time with princess and pirate makeovers, but they are a bit too old for those experiences now. Any special activities are there geared for the 9--11?

Hi, Janice! I bet your family is looking forward to your quickly-approaching trip to  Walt Disney World. Since you mentioned experiencing the Pirates League transformations with your kids before, they might enjoy Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Tutorial, a high-spirited outdoor show in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom Park that's fun for tweens and adults, too. Volunteers are chosen to train in sword fighting, and the Captain calls for willing scallywags to take the official pirate's oath! They may also like the British Revolution, which is musical fun for tweens, teens and adults. A four-piece band plays rocking British tunes in Epcot's Magic Kingdom.

I'd also suggest checking out one of the tours specifically geared toward tweens and teens, like the Backstage Safari, which shows how Cast Members tend to the hundreds of inhabitants at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, or Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour, a backstage look at Magic Kingdom Park that allows Guests to explore secret locations--like the famed underground "Utilidor" tunnels--and get the inside scoop on some beloved attractions! For reservations, call (407) WDW-TOUR.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
