    Planning a trip for my sons senior year next summer 2017. We will be a family of 5 adults and probably not going to do the dining plan due to the cost. Is it doable to purchase only 1 character meal? He loves Chef Mickeys or hopefully something star wars.

    Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel. You don’t have to be on Disney Dinning Plan to have a character meal. You can simply make a reservation at the restaurant that you are looking for and with 180 days in advance you can try to book. You can book by calling WDW-DINE or through the Disney’s official website. If you looking for a great Character Meal with Pluto, Goofy, Mickey, Donald Daisy or Minnie, your best options are Chef Mickey’s, Tusker House Restaurant or at Cape May Cafe.
