Hi there. Ikara! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We’re glad you stopped by to bring us your question!
Ikara, I’m so excited you are planning a super fun birthday celebration visit for your son’s 10th birthday to the place where the magic is endless! My oldest is around that age and it’s such a cool and different experience with him
now that he’s tall enough and brave enough to do all the rides that we weren’t able to enjoy together when he was younger. He’s my Disney ride buddy now and we have a blast enjoying the parks together!
My son has a few favorite resorts that I can recommend. On the top of his list is Disney’s Beach Club Resort; thanks to Stormalong Bay, the best pool in all the resorts- if you ask him! And being able to walk to Epcot is pretty cool too! His second favorite is Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The theming at this resort is just super fun! He loves seeing all his favorite Disney•Pixar characters in their larger than life forms throughout this resort. The photo-ops are endless!
Depending on your preferred touring pace, if you are ok having fun-packed days back to back, you can probably squeeze a ton of fun into a 5-day 6-night stay, enjoying one theme park a day with an additional day to re-visit a favorite. For a more leisurely stay, I would suggest adding a few non-park, resort days where you can refuel and enjoy the magic outside the parks. You don’t want to miss all the wonderful amenities and recreation at your Disney resort hotel, and
Disney Springs is a must-do as well!
I hope this helps get you started on planning a most magical birthday vacation! Please be sure to come back and see us for more tips, advice, and questions you might have about your upcoming visit.
Have a magical day,
Emille
