Hi there, Kristin!
I can't think of a more fun way to celebrate your son turning 5 than by celebrating at Walt Disney World!
In Magic Kingdom Park,
The Crystal Palace is a fabulous Character Dining location where Winnie the Pooh and his friends are always having a celebration. Your little guy will be able to take pictures with the Characters and have them sign his autograph book too! Another tip is to bring a pillowcase with some good fabric markers and have the Characters sign that; what a fun souvenir!
We celebrated my daughter's 8th birthday at the
Rainforest Cafe located at the entrance of Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. She had the time of her life there; it's one of her very favorite restaurants. Another option if you'd like to party with Characters would be
Tusker House Restaurant. Safari Donald Duck and his friends join in during breakfast and lunch at this location and it makes for a wildly great time!
You also have the option of ordering a 6-inch cake right at the podium of most dining locations at Walt Disney World. They are available in chocolate and vanilla and they do not have to be pre-ordered. If you're looking for something a little fancier, you can contact the Cake Hotline at 407.827.2253 and they will work with you to get the perfect cake ordered for your son's magical celebration!
Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question, Kristin, and I sure hope this helps! Please let us know if we can help with anything else!
Wishing you and your family a Pixie Dusted vacation!
