We are planning a trip for 2016. Our son will be around 22 months. If we do the dining plan, would he count as a kids meal, or would we need to order his separately, and would not count towards the meal plan?

Hello, Jennifer.  I'm so happy you've stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Children under the age of 3 are special guests of my pal, Mickey Mouse, and don't require theme park admission or the Disney Dining Plan.  In fact, your child can eat free while you are on vacation.  If you choose to dine at all-you-care-to-eat places like Cape May Cafe or 'Ohana, your small child can have as many plates as he wants off of the buffet all to himself.  If you dine at restaurants where you would order an entree from the menu, your son is more than welcome to share off of your plate.  The only time you would have to pay for something out of pocket for your son to eat is if you wish to order him something additional off of the menu.

I hope this helps answer your question.  Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
