We are planning a trip for 2016 sometime but would like to start buying tickets/passes ahead of time to avoid a huge financial burden at one time. How long can tickets be purchased in advance before using?

Hello Jackie and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
This is a great question because so many of us live on tight budgets. The good news is that you can buy tickets now and they are good until first use. After their first use you have up to 14 days to expend them. This allows you to buy them sporadically in order to pace your expenditures.

Another option is to open a Disney Vacation Savings Account.  With this account you can save up for your Disney vacation and earn free gift cards.  Speaking of gift cards, I find Disney Gift Cards another great way to budget for our trips. We buy them at a discount at a large warehouse store. We use our Disney Gift Cards to save for dining and souvenEARS!

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have more questions come on back to the Panel- we love to help!

    See ya real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Anne, Iowa

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother.  One of my favorite things to do is to travel with multi-generational groups. I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures. Learn More About Anne
