We are planning our 1st trip w/2 small children (3 & 2) . We are looking for the best hotel that gives us the most character visits for my daughter/son on our 5 day stay. We will also be purchasing the Deluxe Dining plan. Grand Floridian/African Lodge?

    Hi Brandi,

As much as I love the Animal Kingdom Lodge, there isn't any character dining there, so it probably isn't what you are looking for.  The Grand Floridian does have character dining at 1900 Park Fare with the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast and Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner. You are also a short monorail/boat ride away from the Polynesian Resort which offers Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. And also just another quick monorail ride away is Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort where you can dine with Mickey and friends for breakfast and dinner. And of course, all the resorts I mentioned have some amazing signature dining restaurants that you may also enjoy on the Deluxe Dining Plan.

I also think you'll appreciate the close proximity to the Magic Kingdom from the Grand Floridian.  It is so convenient to come and go from the resort to the park for mid-day naps.  Please let us know if we can help with more questions as you continue to plan your first trip to WDW.
