Planning trip for Sept. 2012, trying to figure out where to stay thinking about wilderness lodge, heard transportation is very slow to parks, also rooms look dark, usually stay at Beach or Yacht club. Please give me details and opinions on this resort.

    Hi Kelly!

Disney's Wilderness Lodge is my favourite resort, and I have stayed there many times, and will be doing so again this Summer!

In my opinion, everything about this resort is stunning - the lobby, the landscaped gardens, the beautiful pool and views over Bay Lake.

I have never found the transportation to the parks to be unduly slow.  The boat to the Magic Kingdom is a good service and the actual boat ride takes around 10 minutes.  You would take a bus to all the other parks, Downtown Disney and water parks etc.

The furnishings in the rooms is of a darker nature than some other resorts, but again I have never given this a second thought, and find the accommodation here very comfortable.

I absolutely love to stay here and hope you enjoy your stay here too.  Please come back to me to ask more questions about Wilderness Lodge if you would like further clarification.  Have a magical vacation!
