Hello :) We are planning a trip Sept 1st-8th 2012 with our 2 sons 16 months and about to turn 4. Having a hard time deciding between value resort (All Star Movies) and moderate (Port Orleans Riverside). any tips?

    Hi Jennifer!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.  It is never straight forward choosing a place to stay at Walt Disney World because there are so many great places to stay in.

My favorite Disney Value Resort is currently Pop Century, though I'm looking forward to giving the new Disney's Art of Animation Resort a try.  The concept art for that new resort looks fabulous.  My favorite Disney Moderate Resort is Port Orleans Riverside.

There is no doubt that there are more services and amenities at Riverside than at the All Star Movies resort.  If you think you will only be at your hotel to sleep at night, then it really doesn't matter.  However, if you think you will be spending some time at your resort (besides sleeping) then I suggest going with a Disney Moderate Resort.  Port Orleans is a particularly nice resort.  I love its theming, it pool, the food court, and the fact that it has boat service to Downtown Disney.  Taking a boat to Downtown Disney at night is relaxing and fun!

Your two sons will enjoy being at any Walt Disney World Resort, so I wouldn't worry about them.  I would make the decision based on what appeals to you!  If your budget allows, I recommend staying at Port Orleans Riverside.  Good luck with your decision, and write back if you have any more questions!
