Welcome, Matthew! Thank you for taking the time to drop by planDisney with your question.
So many people are eagerly waiting for the Disneyland Resort theme parks and hotels to reopen, myself included!
Although
Downtown Disney District is currently open and extended to include
Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure park, there is still no set date for the theme parks to reopen.
When that happens, Guests (including Annual Passholders) will have to obtain reservations for park entry in advance through a new theme park reservation system. A similar system, Disney Park Pass Reservation System, has been in place for Guests to enjoy the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. This system helps to reduce capacity and enable physical distancing to ensure health and safety for all Guests and Cast Members.
Since the theme parks are still closed, new ticket sales and Annual Passport sales and renewals are temporarily paused. When a reopening date is announced, there will be detailed information available on how to reserve park entry in advance when you purchase your new tickets. Matthew, be sure to check out
Disney Parks Blog and
Disneyland.com for the latest updates and official news regarding Disneyland Resort theme parks and hotels reopening. I can’t wait to return to the Happiest Place on Earth soon and stroll down
Main Street USA, ride on all my favorite attractions, and enjoy a Dole Whip at the
Tiki Juice Bar in Adventureland.
