Planning a trip for Sept 2016. Last was at WDW in 2012. When we visited Hollywood Studios my oldest son loved the drawing classes, I think we did it 3 times! I can't seem to find them, are they still available. Thanks for your help

    Hi Miranda,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another excellent question! I definitely remember Animation Academy at The Magic of Disney Animation at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. My family and I always loved the interactive aspect of the tour and the drawing classes. My Mom still proudly displays the (terrible) drawing of Mickey Mouse I did as a teenager, proof positive that a Mother’s love is truly unconditional!!

Unfortunately, as part of the re-imagination of Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park, this attraction closed in July 2015 in order to make way for the new Star Wars Launch Bay, where Guests can check out Star Wars movie props and, most importantly, meet some of the "fan favourite" heroes and villains from the movies! I haven’t had a chance to visit it yet, but I’m definitely looking forward to checking it out soon. If you have any Star Wars fans in your family, you definitely won’t want to miss it during your trip next September.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and visit us if you have any other questions about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
