Welcome to planDisney, Caitlin!
What a great question--I'm so glad you sent it our way!
We often travel to Walt Disney World with multiple generations--knowing that the grandparents won't want to spend multiple days touring parks--so we find that booking our
Disney Resort Hotel as a room-only reservation, rather than as a package that includes tickets, is the way to go for us. When you look at making your reservation for
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, choose "Room" instead of "Package"; you'll be able to purchase the exact number and type of tickets in a separate transaction, if that fits your travel plans better.
If your parents would like to enter a park only once or twice, perhaps joining you for a leisurely breakfast before heading back to the campground, or a special dinner here or there, you could purchase each of them a 1- or 2-Day
Theme Park Ticket, too.
Using the resort link above, I suggest that you compare the current cost of a five night stay at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort as a package versus as a room-only reservation for your specific dates in September. Once you see the difference between the two, take a look at the Theme Park Ticket link listed above and calculate the cost of three 5-Day Theme Park Tickets. You'll likely see that the difference between the total cost of the package versus the cost of a resort stay plus only a few theme park tickets is significant, which may make your decision an easy one. :-)
Once you purchase those tickets, be sure to download the handy
My Disney Experience mobile app so that you can keep track of your resort reservation, theme park tickets,
Disney Park Pass System reservations,
Dining Reservations and more. It's a
great way for parties who separate for part of the day to remember each other's traveling details. So convenient!
As you plan your perfect visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Caitlin, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
