Hi, We are planning a trip for the second week of May in 2015. Will we need to bring a jacket for the night time?

    April:

The average nightly temperature at Disney World in May is 65 degrees F/18 degrees C. Generally, our family stops wearing a light jacket in the evening to the parks as early as March. However, if you are traveling on one of the ferry boats, you might find it a bit chilly as late as May.

I would recommend packing a light jacket simply because Florida weather is unpredictable. Although you'll probably end up wearing it around your waist during the early evening and wearing very rarely for a May trip, I always like to err on the safe side. Otherwise, you'll find yourself shopping in one of the stores for a jacket once you're there.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
