    We are planning a trip the second week in January 2010. Is this a good time to go? It says it's the value season. Is the weather good at this time of year?

    Hi Patty,

    Welcome to the Moms Panel!  Personally, I think that January is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World.  The second week is a good choice, I would typically recommend avoiding the weeks of the New Year Holiday as well as the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.  The values are terrific this time of year, and the lack of crowds make it my favorite time to visit.

    The downfall (if you can really call it that) is that the weather is unpredictable!  Typically we dress in jeans & sweatshirts and can often wear a t-shirt during the mid-afternoon heat of the day.  I will say though, that we've been in January when hats, mittens and winter coats were needed!  So keep an eye on the forecast, pack warm clothes and you'll really enjoy touring the parks on the cooler, less crowded days!
