Planning 3rd trip before school starts (2 wks between 8/8 & 9/6/11) with 7yo DD. Have been in May & June before. How is late August compared to May/June regarding weather & crowds? Should I encompass Labor Day weekend- better/worse for weather/

    Hello Sarah,

Your daughter is one lucky Princess!

I have been lucky enough to travel to Disney World in May, June, and August. I'll be honest: you can't beat the weather in May.

But if you don't mind the heat, August can be a great time of year to visit too! High temps just mean frequent dips in the pool, staying hydrated, and treating ourselves to Mickey ice cream bars! My family timed our vacation for the last week of the August. Most schools are already in session so summer crowd levels begin dwindle. You will notice a slight increase in foot traffic as you near Labor Day weekend, but it will be nothing like how the theme parks feel over the Fourth of July.

Hope this helps. I am sure no matter what time of year you choose, I'm sure your daughter will have a blast!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
