I am planning a trip for when school lets out in 2018. I know I have a long time to wait, but I'm wondering how many days would be optimal for myself and two boys (ages 12 and 7)?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Heather! I love chatting with fellow avid planners. You are in great company! It’s never too early to start planning and dreaming up your next visit to the place where the magic is endless!

Considering all there is to see and do at the Walt Disney World Resort, figuring out your length of stay will depend on how much you want to enjoy and how leisurely you want your visit to be. You can probably fit in a lot if you pack your days in on a 5-day, 6-night visit. But be prepared for long days and magically jam-packed schedules. Which might be just up your guys’ speed! But if you want to have the best of both worlds, where your days are full of magic and you can also enjoy it at a slower pace, I would recommend at least a week plus maybe a few days longer so you can fit in some days of rest and relaxation at your preferred Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, which are amazing destinations in and of themselves.

I recommend penciling in a plan. Chat with your guys and explore all the things that they are hoping to experience. Make a wish list of everything they want to experience divided by theme park and then see if you think you might want to visit any of the parks more than one day. That should give you a jump start on how many days of fun you’ll need, followed by some magical days of Disney down time, if you can make that work.

I hope this is the beginning of an unforgettable visit with your guys! Be sure to come back and see us again for any tips, advice, or questions as you continue to plan this amazing vacation!

    See you real soon,
