Hi Dakota! Welcome to planDisney!
The end of the year is such a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. There is so much fun to be had, whether you are planning on going during the Halloween or holiday season! Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for dates for
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party as those are always fun events to add to your vacation if you are visiting while those events are taking place.
It's always good to have all the information you'll need before booking your vacation so I'm glad you reached out! When it comes to
Theme Park tickets, Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. This means that you cannot cancel them or receive a refund should your plans change. However, they
can be modified to new dates as long as you change the dates on your tickets before your original ticket start date. You can do this for all of the tickets or just one.
When it comes to
Disney Vacation packages, you can cancel or modify them without penalty 30 days or more before your arrival date. You can also call
Guest Services to update the number of people in the room if only one person cannot travel with you. However, reservations canceled inside the 30-day window will be assessed a $200 cancelation fee and any changes to the reservation are subject to availability and a change fee during this period. Furthermore, canceling the day before your arrival will result in you being charged the full price of your vacation.
When it comes to a room-only reservation at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, there are no cancelation fees incurred as long as the reservation is canceled or modified 5 or more days before your arrival.
Have a magical vacation,
Matt
