Hi Mandy,
Thank you for dropping by with such a timely question!
As you have noted, there are quite a few
operational updates regarding the phased reopening of the parks and resorts. The
Disney Parks Blog announced a short while ago that "existing ticket holders and
Annual Passholders will be able to make reservation requests in phases before new tickets are sold." Those guests will soon receive more detailed information via email. I also suggest that you continue to check the
Know Before You Go information hub prior to your visit.
Whether or not you change the dates of your trip might also depend on whether or not you have an existing
resort hotel reservation. Be sure to check the
resort hotel updates prior to making a decision. If you did have a resort hotel reservation, check to see if you received an email update related to that reservation. If you do not have existing tickets and do not have an existing resort hotel reservation, I do think you may want to consider changing the dates of your trip.
Mandy, I also suggest that you follow the
Disney Parks Blog to make sure you receive the latest updates. Of course, your final decision may be contingent upon how close you are to the Walt Disney World resort and the actual date of new ticket sales. If you can wait and get your tickets in time, it may be possible. The advanced planner in me worries about your timeline, but that is, in part, because we typically fly to the Orlando area. My final thought - if you can live on the edge, go for it. With a little pixie dust, dreams can come true! We are just thrilled that you are returning to a
world of magic soon!
Magic and Memories,
Donyell
