Hi we are planning our trip for October 2012. Wondering what the difference is between Disney Dining plan and Disney delux dining plan. Can these "sit down" meals in delux package be at counter/quick services as well as table services? Thank you

    Hi Meghan!

Congratulations on your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

The primary difference between the Disney Dining Plan (DDP) and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan (DxDP) is that with the former Guests receive one Table Service meal entitlement credit per night of stay, whereas with the latter Guests receive up to three Table Service meal entitlement credits per night of stay. With the DxDP you can choose to utilize the three meal entitlements any way you like. So for instance, you can enjoy breakfast at a Quick Service dining location, a sit-down Table Service lunch, and dinner at another sit-down Table Service restaurant for the entire duration of your stay. In other words, with the DxDP you will get three meals per person, per night, any of which may be Table Service or Quick Service. Another important difference is that both adult and child meals include appetizer entrees on the DxDP. Adults on the DDP don't receive appetizers with their sit-down meals. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.

On a completely unrelated note, be sure not to miss the spooktacular Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

Enjoy a most magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
