    Planning a trip October 10-20, 2020 and wondering there is still anywhere we can take an art lesson where they teach you to draw character? I know Art of Animation offers this but they won’t be reopened by then.

    Hi, Kelly!  It's great to see you back here at planDisney!

    I'm so excited to hEAR that you're planning to return to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort in October!  Autumn is one of my favorite times to visit, and although things might look a little bit different this yEAR, there is still plenty of fall fun to be had.  Be sure to catch the Halloween-themed character cavalcades at Magic Kingdom Park, and sip and snack your way around the world with a Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

    If you wish to sharpen your pencils and your artistic skills during your upcoming vacation, then I recommend visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.  There you can board the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch to take part in The Animation Experience at Conservation Station.  During this 25-minute class, Guests will learn how Disney animators use real-life animals as inspiration to bring your favorite characters to life.  You will then be given step-by-step instructions on how to draw a popular Disney character.

    In the meantime, if you'd like some drawing practice at home, head on over to the Disney Parks Blog for some fun character drawing tutorials.  It's a great way to experience some Disney Magic Moments as you count down the days until your upcoming trip.
