Hey there, Barb!
It's very cool to see you're planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation for October! It's one of my favorite times of the year to visit.
Thanks for your question about using the
My Disney Experience mobile app for Walt Disney World Resort theme park entry. Currently, theme park entry requires either a theme park admission ticket card or a
MagicBand linked to the theme park tickets you purchased and linked to your My Disney Experience account.
The theme park admission ticket cards can be picked up at a theme park's Guest Relations Window or at the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs.
As a quick side note, I want to add in a reminder that in addition to a theme park admission ticket, theme park entry also requires a theme park reservation made through the
Disney Park Pass system.
I'm happy to hear you're planning on making use of the My Disney Experience mobile app. Personally, I think there's a lot to love about the mobile app. I always recommend that Guests make full use of the app to manage their day-to-day vacation play. The easy features for managing plans and reservations, theme park tickets, mobile food ordering, virtual queues, and more make the app so very useful. The step-by-step, turn-by-turn directions and interactive maps to guide you anywhere around Walt Disney World Resort are also so helpful.
I do know that Walt Disney World Resort announced on their MagicBand information page that there are features currently available in MagicBands that will be coming this year to the My Disney Experience mobile app. I'm really eager to hear more about what these new mobile app features are and when they'll become available.
Barb, here's wishing you all the fun and all the magic in your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Jerry
