We are planning a trip in October of 2014. Our son will be 7 (2nd trip to Disney) and our daughter will be 3 (first trip). Last time we stayed at Grand Floridian and this time we are trying to decide between that and the Polynesian? Which one is better?

    Hi there, Jennifer!

This is a really tough question question! I have a feeling that you'd get a different answer from each one of us here on the Moms Panel. I REALLY love both Resorts, so let me give you a couple of my favorite things about each one.

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa holds a very special place in my heart. My husband and I honeymooned in a tiny little Victorian town and stayed in a Bed & Breakfast that resembles this Resort! I could seriously sit in the gorgeous lobby and listen to the live orchestra play all day long! I feel the same about the light and airy Guest rooms. The brand new Alice in Wonderland themed water play area is really cool and your kiddos will be the perfect age to really enjoy it! Another favorite activity of mine is dining at Narcoossee's and stepping out after dinner to watch the fireworks from the dock that surrounds the restaurant! It's so magical!

One of my all-time favorite things to do is to watch Wishes nighttime spectacular fireworks from a hammock on the white sandy beach at Disney's Polynesian Resort! Everywhere you look, there are authentic bits and pieces of the South Pacific and I felt like I was actually in Hawaii! The water feature in the front lobby along with the gorgeous foliage transport you instantly to a tropical oasis! The Guest rooms are rich in color and just beautiful. We've also used the Never Land Club for our kids so we could have an "adults-only" night out!

Both Resorts are right on the Magic Kingdom monorail line, so the transportation is really convenient. I'm quite certain that you'll be equally thrilled with either one. Sometimes, it's fun to try a new experience! Best of luck with your decision!

    Have a Pixie Dusted vacation!
