Hello! I am planning a trip for October 2018. I would like to know exactly what I should take for that month like what kind of attire I should take since it's in the beginning of October wether it be Winter or summer clothes?

    Hi, Lillian!

My family and I lived in Orlando some years ago, and when we packed up and left New Jersey, I donated all of our winter coats and hats and gloves. Well, when Halloween rolled around, we got a cold snap that had us in the low 30 degree weather in Orlando, and I was scrambling to find gloves for my kids!

While that's a pretty extreme weather situation, October can be somewhat unpredictable. The temperature fluctuations can be pretty dramatic as well. My best suggestion is to go with layers. You might be waking up for an early morning at Walt Disney World to temperatures in the low to mid-60s, so you'll probably want at least a sweatshirt or light jacket. But then by mid-afternoon, you're looking forward to that FastPass+ ride on Kali River Rapids for a big, wet, cool down, as temperatures could reach the mid to upper 80s. By the time you're settling in for Fantasmic! in the evening, you may be reaching for the sweatshirt again.

I would say pack primarily summer things - shorts, t-shirts, sundresses. But have a plan for the cooler mornings and evenings by bringing a jacket or sweatshirt. There are lockers at each theme park if you need to store your warmer things, and if you do find yourself with a bit of a chill, there are places to get hot beverages throughout the theme parks. Gotta love a Starbucks.

    Happy packing, Lillian!
