We are planning a trip for October. It is my and my kids (boy age 7 and girl age5) first time. We are planning to do the Mickeys NSSH....any tips or advice....and any recommendations for first timers who love everything Disney! thanks

    Hi, Laurie!

Welcome to Walt Disney World!  October is a great time to visit.  The temperatures are much more tolerable, the crowd levels are usually pretty good, and the best part:  Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!

I don't know what you have planned for your vacation, but you will want to make sure to have your room and tickets purchased ahead of time, and when you are booking, make sure to add on Disney's Magical Express which will provide you free transportation to and from the Orlando Airport.

If you plan to go to Mickey's awesome Halloween bash, make sure to buy your tickets ahead of time, as dates will sell out as you get closer.  In addition to Mickey's Party, plan on one full day for each park: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios.  If you plan to go to Animal Kingdom, you could probably do this in less than one day - perhaps do this park on the day you are going to the Halloween party, head back to your room for a rest and to get your costumes, then party the night away with Mickey while Trick-or-Treating at Magic Kingdom!

If you have not yet booked, keep checking HERE for special offers to save some money.  You can keep your cost down by booking a value or moderate resort, and avoid pricey ticket options like park hopping and water parks.

Stop back to the Moms Panel if you have more questions, or need advice on restaurants or resort choices.  We are always happy to help!  Have fun planning your magical vacation.
