Hi there, and welcome to planDisney, Skye. I'm so glad you've stopped by with your question!
You visit overlaps during the spookiest time of year at the
Disneyland Resort -
Halloween! This frighteningly fun time includes ride overlays, Disney characters in costume, and lots of cute and creepy treats.
This is also the time that the
Oogie Boogie Bash party takes place on select nights inside
Disney California Adventure, which is why it closes early on several nights in September and October. This specially ticketed event is an additional cost and allows guests to experience lower wait times, treat trails, spooky Halloween entertainment, and more! You must have an Oogie Boogie Bash (OBB) ticket to stay in the park after the regular closing time. These tickets will be on sale soon in the next couple of months and will sell out quickly! You can see the full list of dates for the 2025 Oogie Boogie Bash on the Disneyland website.
Skye, if you have a standard park ticket and do not want to attend
Oogie Boogie Bash, you will need to leave the park at closing time. Cast Members will check that all guests have an OBB event wristband throughout the evening. I highly recommend adding a park hopper to your ticket if you want to visit both parks that day. This would ensure you could "hop" to Disneyland Park, which tends to stay open until its normal time each night of OBB.
I hope this helps, Skye. If you have any other questions, please reach out again. We would be happy to help!
See ya real soon,
Melissa
