Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho, Crystal!
It's off to your answer we go! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by with your question. It looks like you will be visiting Walt Disney World during a spooktacular time of year, just in time to see the parks decorated for Halloween. Are you planning to enjoy
Mickey 's-Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party? It's one of my favorite fall events, as I love seeing the characters dressed in their Halloween best, and I love the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular show.
Crystal, I double-checked with Guest Services. Typically, all
active tickets can be upgraded. You can upgrade the tickets at the park once you decide to add more days (assuming there is still park availability.) Usually, there is - as I've only known the parks to reach capacity a few times a year, usually over Christmas and New Years and on some holiday weekends. That said, it is always possible the parks can be sold out, but as I said, this usually only happens once in a while over very busy periods.
We just added an additional day to our tickets when we visited in March while we were at Disney. You may be able to upgrade your ticket to add the days right from the
My Disney Experience app, as long as you have one day left on your tickets. But, if it isn't working for you or if you don't have one day left, you can stop by one of the blue Guest Experience umbrellas or Guest Services in the parks to ask them to assit you. When we did this last March, I wasn't able to upgrade our ticket from the app, and I just purchased a single-day ticket for our extra day. However, it is more economical to upgrade your ticket because you get a discount on the per-day ticket prices with a multi-day ticket vs. a single-day ticket. So, my recommendation would be to upgrade your tickets to add the extra day or two as soon as you decide to do so.
I hope this helps you, Crystal! If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, soar back here to see me, and I'll be so happy to help you. I'll be right here, at the second star on the right and straight on 'til morning.
See ya real soon!
