Planning a trip for Oct. How are the water parks at that time of yr. Wondering if we could do a park for a few hrs then BB then back to a park? Just trying to find out about crowds by the afternoon hrs. thanks

    Hi Diane!

In my experience, the waterparks are most crowded during the summer (and and summer weekends, specifically,  when a significant number of area residents visit the waterparks).  October will likely be less crowded than during these peak months.  Your "time" strategy is actually a good one, as a lot of guests like to hit the water parks early in the day, "set up camp" and then start heading out in the afternoon to return to their resorts, get ready to go to dinner, etc.  By the time you arrive, you'll probably have an easier time of securing a lounge chair or two and find some shorter lines.

Blizzard Beach is my family's favorite water park.  We love Teamboat Springs (a great family raft ride that is fun for just about everyone) , lazy river and the giant pool.  The weather in October is still lovely, and for the most part warm, with average afternoon highs in the mid 80s.  If you pick a sunny day, and arrive in the afternoon, your likely to have a wonderful time splashing and sliding at the park!

    Have a fabulous trip!
