We are planning a trip for Oct 2012. Two families who want connecting/adjoining rooms but not a combined reservation. What is the best way to do this?

Hi Mellyn! I would suggest that when each of your families makes your reservation that you request a room connecting to the other families room. Each reservation should be noted with the request. Then I would recommend that you fax a reminder of your request to have the rooms connecting to the Disney Resort hotel about 1 month prior to your arrival. Include both family names and reservation numbers. Finally, I would suggest that your families try to arrive at the Disney Resort hotel at the same time and check-in at the same time or back to back for a better chance that your room assignments would be connecting. If one family does arrive prior to the other, then I would be certain to have the first family to arrive to remind the Cast Member at check-in of your request. The Cast Members will do their best to honor your request, but keep in mind that room assignments can be first come, first serve and your families may not receive connecting rooms, but rooms that are very close in proximity. Hope this helps.
