Hello, we are planning a trip for Oct., family of 5. We will be celebrating our daughters sweet 16. We have a12 yr old boy and 9 yr old girl as well. Will the murphy style bed in POR be big enough for my son or would we be better off with a suite at AOA?

    Hi Gail,

Without knowing how tall your son is, it's difficult to know how comfortable he will be in the pull down bed at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. When my son was twelve-years-old he was around 5'2" tall and he fit in Disney's pull down beds but was very close to being too tall. I have seen measurements for the pull down bed that vary between 63 inches and 67 inches long.  I think ideally my son would have liked a little bit more room, but the bed was more comfortable than the floor!

I would suggest the Family Suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort for the beds and for the extra bathroom. As my kids have gotten older, we have appreciated having a little extra space in our hotel rooms. When we're trying to get ready for bed at night or get ready for a long day in the parks, having two bathrooms is a luxury! When you add in the kitchenette and extra beds, plus the fabulous theming and splashtastic pools, I think Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a great choice!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
