Hello and welcome to planDisney, Allie!
Thank you for taking the time to send a question our way! It is a true honor to help fellow Guests plan a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Although
theme park tickets are non-refundable, I recommend
booking a vacation package including tickets and a stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Besides staying in the middle of the magic and enjoying pixie-dusted benefits, the tickets will also be canceled along with your hotel reservation if you have to cancel your vacation package. Another great benefit is adding a
Disney Dining Plan to your package and turning your vacation into an all-inclusive experience. Unfortunately, dining plans are currently unavailable, but Guests will be able to add them to their package once they return.
If you decide to purchase theme park tickets separately, in the event you or a group member cannot travel, you will be allowed to use the amount paid for your wholly unused ticket toward the purchase of a ticket for a future date (subject to the terms and conditions at the time of purchase). This is also a great option because you do not simply lose the amount you originally paid. It will stay in your account, and you can contact the Disney Reservation Center at (407) 934-7639 to purchase new tickets, or even use the amount toward buying an Annual Pass, for example.
I hope this information is helpful, Allie! Stop by once again real soon if you have additional questions, we will be thrilled to continue to help you create memories at the Walt Disney World Resort!
