Hello! We are planning a trip from November 7-12, and did not realize that was the Wine and Dine half marathon weekend. Will it be overly crowded in the parks? Will we still have access to all of the parks or will there be restrictions?

    Hi Mallory!

November is a great time to visit Disney World!  My family generally takes our vacations that same week every year. With the International Food and Wine Festival, Wine and Dine Half Marathon, comfortable temperatures, and Christmas decorations coming out....it's such a magical time!

The Wine and Dine Half is actually one of the smaller runDisney races.  There are fewer events and much fewer runners than other race weekends.  You will see runners out and about, but the crowd levels won't be adversely affected by them.  I looked up the crowd predictions for your trip (www.touringplans.com) and it is calling for the crowds to be between a 5 and 8 (out of 10) for your vacation.  That is pretty typical for that time of year.

The half marathon begins at 10 p.m. on Saturday night, so you won't even notice that it's going on.  Parks and all other areas will be unaffected.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
