We are planning a trip in November - do we need to purchase our park tickets now and how do we reserve ride times?

Hello, Tem, and thanks for stopping by Star Command where we love to help fellow Space Rangers... Oops! ER- I actually mean, welcome to planDisney where we love to help guests plan Magical vacations.

Tem, while I can't get you to Star Command, I am happy to share that you can practice defeating the evil Emperor Zurg at Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom Park and compete like a toy at Toy Story Mania located at Disney's Hollywood Studios. And... in order to enjoy these attractions and any others your heart desires, I would recommend purchasing park tickets as soon as you are able if you know the exact dates you'll be visiting. However, before you do so, let's talk about a few important points.

First, Disney Park Pass reservations (complimentary theme park reservations) are needed through January 8, 2024, to enter a park in addition to your valid ticket. So, before hitting purchase you'll want to check the Disney Park Pass availability calendar to make sure the dates you want to visit are open for November. If those are open, I'll encourage you to purchase your tickets through your My Disney Experience account and then immediately secure your reservations for whichever parks you would like to experience. Now, if you'll be staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can purchase your tickets as part of a hotel package. To do so, you'll begin with your resort stay and then add on tickets.

Now, once your tickets have been purchased, it's time to start dreaming about your Disney days! Before you arrive, you are able to book dining reservations 60 days in advance, however reserving ride times can only be done the day of your visit with the purchase of Disney Genie+. Tem, I'll encourage you to spend a few minutes learning about how Disney Genie+ works so that you can decide if it's right for you and your traveling party. This is an add-on option to your ticket that you can purchase per person beginning at midnight each day. You may add this to one day of your trip or every day (assuming availability). Disney Genie+ helps you lessen your wait time and skip the standby line for lots of popular attractions like Slinky Dog Dash.

Tem, as you continue your planning journey, please let me know if I can be of any other assistance. I'll be wishing you a pixie-dusted visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

    To Infinity and Beyond!
