We are planning a trip for November 2020. I know that face masks are a requirement when in public but are they required when maintaining social distancing from others? Would we need to wear them all day when walking around the park while 6+feet apart?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jessica! With masks and face coverings now a part of our world, it's really smart of you to nail down all of the details about precisely when and where they need to be worn on your upcoming vacation. I'm happy to walk you through exactly what you need to know before you go!

At the current time, all guests ages two and over must wear an appropriate face covering in public areas unless they are eating, drinking, or swimming. This includes times where social distancing may be possible, like walking around outside in the Theme Parks, Disney Springs, and at your Resort Hotel. This new protocol is in line with expert advice from health authorities and is in place to protect you, your family, and the safety of other guests around you. This page has all the details that you need to know about returning to the magic, including what kinds of face coverings are required and what you can expect when you visit Walt Disney World Resort later this year, so make sure to check it out so you have all the up-to-date information!

Have you had the chance to try the masks from ShopDisney.com yet? I've been spending the last few months testing out different styles of face coverings and the Mickey and Minnie Mouse set I ordered has been my favorite so far! They're comfortable and breathable and they cover my mouth and nose without being too hot or stuffy. They come in a variety of sizes and designs, and having a couple on hand is always a good idea in case the one you're wearing gets wet or you want to change for any reason!

    Have a magical day, Jessica!
