Planning a trip in November for my daughter's 3rd birthday. We were hoping to dine with the princesses after a makeover at BBB. I know Ariel's Grotto is being reworked into a Pixar theme. Any word on a new princess experience to replace it? Thanks!

Hey there, Elizabeth! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!
I am so excited to hear that you will be celebrating your little one’s birthday at the Disneyland Resort! As you mentioned, Ariel’s Grotto closed for refurbishment in January and is slated to reopen as a new dining option when Pixar Pier opens on June 23, 2018. There have been very little details released so far about what this new restaurant will be like, but I hope that there are plans to reintroduce dining with the princesses somewhere on property in the future. By the time your 60-day dining reservation window opens for your travel dates, I’m confident you will have all the information needed to choose the perfect restaurant for after your daughter’s magical makeover. You will definitely want to keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog over the next few months as they will be the first to release all news about the parks.
While you wait for new dining details, you might want to consider other options for her special meal. A fancy lunch at Carthay Circle Restaurant might be the perfect choice for your little princess. The décor of this restaurant is absolutely stunning with its old Hollywood charm and the food is incredible. You could even book the Frozen Dining Package here and receive reserved seating for a performance of Frozen – Live at the Hyperion. Or how about a dainty and sweet tea party at Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel? Afternoon tea is available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from noon to 3:00 p.m. and you’ll get to munch on scones, tea sandwiches, and desserts while sipping tea, juice, or hot chocolate.
I hope this helps! Please stop by again with any other questions you may have!
