    We are planning a trip for November 2013 and can't decided if we should go 11/2-11/9 or 11/9-11/16. I know the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is during the first week and I want to know how much of an impact it will have on crowds.

    Hi Laurie!  I have vacationed many times in early November and although the Food & Wine Festival is underway, and there is also the unofficial "Jersey week,"  I have always found the crowds to be manageable (although the crowds will obviously be a little heavier in Epcot).  

    If the intent of your question is find out when to vacation when the crowds are less, then I would suggest you go with your second option, 11/9-11/16. The week or so before Thanksgiving is typically one of the less busy weeks at Disney.  You may find the beginning of your vacation a little more busy but after Veterans Day, you should find the crowds very manageable.
