    We are planning a trip for 5 in Nov (kids 4,6,8). I am having a hard time deciding on a room. I like the space in a family suite in Arts of Animation, but would like the comfort and food options of a moderate like Port Orleans Riverside. Any advice?

    Hello Melissa!

    That's a tough one. I have children the same ages as yours, and I'd probably opt for Disney's Art of Animation Resort, unless your budget is super tight. The Family Suites are just so themed and amazing, I think your kids would love them, especially if they are big fans of Disney movies. These include a bedroom and a living area, a kitchenette (where you can store some groceries to save on food costs), and my favorite...2 bathrooms! I actually love Landscape of Flavors, the food court at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. They have a lot of variety and healthy option. My favorite is the made-to-order pasta station. There is also a zero-entry pool which I love for my younger children who aren't strong swimmers yet. 

    I am also a big fan of Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside.  I love the backwoods of the bayou! The "bunk-sized" pull down bed is quite comfortable. And I know, because I've slept on it for a couple of nights. I do love the boat ride to Downtown Disney, the water slide, and a table-service restaurant, but I'm still not sure those could sway me over Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Queen-sized beds could have been the deciding factor, but the bedroom in the Family Suites has a queen-sized bed. 

    Good luck with your decision! I say choose the resort with the amenities that are most important to your family. For my family, it would be space, transportation, and pool. If you have any other questions, please come back and see us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
