we are planning trip 11/5/22-11/11/22. Did not know about wine and dine half marathon on that weekend. Are there going to be shortened park hours for those of us who are not doing that event?

    Hello Janet,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Fall is an amazing time to visit Walt Disney World. The weather is usually still warm and it's time for the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. It's so much fun to taste your way around World Showcase sampling cuisine from the different kiosks.

While the start of your trip is during the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, it shouldn't impact your visit too much. The races start VERY early and will most likely be finished before EPCOT opens for the day. In fact, you may find lower crowds when you visit the parks early in the morning on these days, especially if you are going to Disney's Animal Kingdom which typically opens quite early, as runners may choose to sleep or relax at their resorts for the day, or at least a few hours.

There is a post-race party at EPCOT on Sunday, November 6. The party begins at 10:00 PM, after EPCOT closes, but party guests can arrive as early as 5:00 PM. Although the official schedule hasn't been released yet, I suspect that the park will not close early to regular guests; however, you may see the crowds increase around 5:00 PM. For that reason, I might suggest spending Sunday at a park other than EPCOT, or if you have added the Park Hopper Option to your tickets, just spend the evening at a different park.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
