Planning a 2026 trip 7 night itinerary. My daughter will board the ship 10 yr. and turn 11 five days later. Will she not be allowed to stay at the Oceaneers Club for the remaining of the trip?

Welcome to planDisney, Desiree! I love celebrating birthdays on Disney Cruise Line. From taking pictures with characters while you wear a special birthday outfit to having your dining team sing Happy Birthday at dinner, it's a magical time.

Up until your daughter turns 11, she is welcome to enjoy the activities in Disney's Oceaneer Club or Lab. On her birthday, she can then hang out in Edge. It's possible that she can visit Edge, with your permission, before her birthday as well. My son loved the Oceaneer Club, but he also couldn't wait to move up to Edge. He likes the scavenger hunts around the ship and playing video games. This past summer, he met lots of new friends, and they have stayed in touch to this day.

I suggest checking out Edge during Open House with her so you both can see the space together. If you want her to have access to Edge throughout your sailing, then stop in on embarkation day. Speaking of Open House, she can also go back to the Oceaneer Club or Lab during this time after she turns 11.

Desiree, I hope your daughter will give Edge a try! If you have any other questions, sail back to planDisney for answers.

    Adventure is out there!
