We are planning a trip next year & want to stay at the Animal Kingdom, but want to stay where we will have the most opportunity to see the animals. Should we stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge or one of the villas?

    Hi Rebecca,

I've stayed at both the Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House and Kidani Village several times in regular rooms and villas. I've had excellent animal experiences at all of these locations. The key is simply to book a savanna room. All savanna rooms overlook animal habitat locations. If you don't request at savanna room, you could be looking at a parking lot.

Disney does a wonderful job of constructing the animal areas so that the creatures are enticed to linger near the guest room areas. Literally every time I've stayed at the AKL in a savanna room, I've been able to observe animals from my room balcony throughout the day. It doesn't matter whether you're in a villa or a regular room.

Additionally, you should know that you're free to walk around to the animal observation areas throughout the resort whenever you like. There's so much to see!

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
