Hiya, Cassidy!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by with your question. How exciting that you are dreaming of your next Disney vacation. December is a great time to visit, because it's when Walt Disney World turns into the Merriest Place on Earth! I especially love EPCOT's Festival of the Holidays because I love seeing the different celebrations in each country and meeting Holiday Storytellers like La Befana in Italy, Pere Noel in France, and Father Christmas in England - just to name a few.
Cassidy, I double-checked with Disney Vacation Club Member Services about your question. If you use (or
Borrow ahead) your 2026 Vacation Points to book your Disney vacation, and then Bank any remaining 2025 Vacation Points
after you booked your vacation, the system will not automatically use your
Banked Vacation Points when your vacation takes place. So, if you want to use your Banked Points later, to be applied to this vacation after it is booked, you would need to reallocate your Vacation Points so that you use your Banked points first.
To do this, you would need to call
Member Services so they can reallocate your Vacation Points for you. Member Services are like DVC Fairy Godparents - all knowing and with a "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo," they make your vacation dreams come true!
As a reminder, Cassidy, be sure to double-check the banking deadline for your Use Year, and just be sure you Bank any remaining 2025 Vacation Points by that date if you want them Banked. Otherwise, you will have to use them (and complete travel) by the end of your Use Year, which is the last day before the first day of your next Use Year.
For example, if you have an October Use Year, you receive your 2025 Vacation Points on October 1, 2025. All unused 2024 Vacation Points that weren't banked by the
Banking Deadline for an October Use Year have to be used (and travel completed) by September 30, 2025, or they are forfeited.
I hope this helps you, Cassidy! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, stop back here to see me, and I'll be so happy to help you.
Magically Yours,
Keri
