Hi, we are planning a trip from New Zealand. Who should we book with? There are no agents in NZ who specialise in WDW. Are we best to book directly on WDW website?

    Kia ora, Lara!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for sending us your question today! As a fellow international panelist, I am glad that I get to answer your question today, as I know that you have been waiting a long time to be able to return to the magic. Seeing Guests from around the world return to the Walt Disney World Resort after the past couple of years is so magical, and I am honoured that I get to be a part of your planning process today!

Now, let's talk about how you can plan the best vacation for you and your family! The good news is that, yes, you are free to book your vacation through the Walt Disney World Resort website. Indeed, you should be able to book your tickets and make reservations yourself online. However, this process can get a bit trickier for us international Guests, so I would recommend reaching out to a travel agent if you can! Indeed, Authorized Disney Vacation Planners are fellow magic-makers who know everything about the Disney parks and are ready to help. You may see if there are any in your area or if you may work with them remotely! In addition, you may use the chat feature or send an email to a Cast Member to ask any questions you may have during the planning process. Indeed, since there is no New-Zealand phone number at this time, international fees may apply. The Walt Disney World website also has a fantastic "Frequently Asked Questions" section, and the My Disney Experience service helps you stay on track of all the things you need to book for your vacation. Lastly, you are always welcome here on planDisney, and we are always happy to help!

If you are thinking about visiting before the summer of 2023, I highly recommend planning your vacation during the World's Most Magical Celebration! Indeed, with brand new fireworks, themed entertainment, returning favourites, and celebratory merchandise and treats, this is a celebration you will not want to miss. One of my favourite parts about the celebration is seeing the Beacons of Magic around the parks. For the occasion, the main theme park icons will be lit up in an EARidescent glow throughout the night. My personal favourite is Spaceship Earth, as it sometimes is coordinated with some of your favourite Disney songs! Also, during the 50th-anniversary celebration, make sure to check out all the fantastic entertainment at Magic Kingdom Park. Seeing Mickey and his friends in their celebratory costumes is so adorable, and these offerings truly bring all the Disney magic to life!

I hope this was helpful, Lara, and that you and your loved ones will have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions about planning your visit, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are always happy to help, and you're as welcome as can be!

    Have a magical day,
