    We are planning a trip in May with 4 year old twins and hubby who will be home on R&R. How easy or annoying is it to bring double jogger stroller on the Disney buses? Is there a separate area for strollers or do you have to hold it?

    Hi, Angela! For children as old as yours, you may be better off bringing two umbrella-type strollers instead of a double stroller. The double strollers are terribly cumbersome in crowds, on attractions and transportation and in crowded restaurants and shops. Plus, for some areas and possibly in some parks, you may opt to park your stroller in order to walk from attraction to attraction without having to worry with them...especially since you have "big kids" now.

    My only caveat with the umbrella strollers is to make sure you have, purchase, borrow or rent ones with canopies, reclining seats, areas of storage and most especially a stationary footrest that doesn't hinder the wheels. I almost came unglued once when I was laboriously pushing our 3-year-old in a stroller at WDW when half-way through the day I realized that he was pressing on the footrest which caused resistance for the wheels. Geez...if it wasn't hard enough to push the thing through the parks all day!

    Another option we've done with our "stair-step" children who are walking on their own is to bring one stroller and switch out through the day. We come up with a plan so that the children know when it's their turn, and it systematically allows for them to get some rest during the day while also giving them a little freedom as well. Remember...you want to be prepared, but you certainly don't want to be hindered by any unnecessary things. Besides, if the walking and standing becomes too much, you can always rent a park stroller once you arrive.
