Planning a trip for May 2010 and was wondering which moderate resort is best for toddlers (my son will be almost three). My husband and I have stayed at PO FQ before and loved it but we weren't sure about the others. Any suggestions?

    Lindsey:

As you know, Port Orleans offers something the other Moderates do not: the boat to Downtown Disney.  Your 3-year-old will see it as another attraction!

However, if you're wanting to experience something else, though, consider looking at Caribbean Beach Resort.  Because you're visiting in May with warm weather, the pool would be this resort's upper hand.  It has its own water play area for youngsters and the theming and pool surroundings are better, in my opinion, for the young set than either Port Orleans: French Quarter or Riverside.  Its backdrop reminds you of the beaches of the Caribbean versus the swamps of the South at Port Orleans.  And if it's in your budget, opt for the preferred rooms with their Pirate theming!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
