Hi! Planning a trip for May 2010. I've been there many times, but 1st trip for 4 yr old. Would the afternoon parade at MK be the best way for him to see how big the characters are before he meets them? He watches the planning video all the time.

    Hi Katherine!

It sounds like your son is excited for your upcoming trip! The planning DVD s a favorite of mine s well.

Yes, I think that the afternoon parade would be a great opportunity to size up the characters. The parade is full of characters - some of which ride on the floats while others walk along and interact with the crowd. I would see how he reacts to seeing these characters before you spend time waiting in line to meet them one on one.

My son was a bit apprehensive when it came to meeting the characters. He did much better with the "face" characters like the princesses who could talk to him although he did warm up to Mickey and his friends by the end of the trip.

Good luck and have a great vacation!
