Hi! We are planning a trip in May! 😃 We are staying at Bonnet Creek, but the kids want magic bands. How do I add our tickets and hopper passes to the magic bands? Thanks!

Hi Kim, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

May is one of my favorite times to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. I find it an ideal time of year; relatively low crowds, near perfect weather, and of course, it coincides with the long-standing and ever-popular Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.

If you are not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, but would still like to purchase MagicBands to use during your trip, you are in luck. MagicBands are available for purchase at the Walt Disney World Resort, at the Disney Store in the Orlando Airport, or online at the Disney Store for shipment anywhere in the United States. Hopefully you will find a MagicBand perfectly suited to each guest in your family!

In order to ensure that your Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets will work with your MagicBands, if you have not already done so you will first need to link your tickets to the My Disney Experience account of each guest in your party. Then, upon receipt of your MagicBands, you will find a 12-digit ID number printed on the back. Use this number to link the MagicBand to each guest’s individual My Disney Experience account and you will be all set to start using this amazing and convenient way to experience the Parks.

Don’t forget that even though you are not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you are still able to book FastPass+ selections 30 days in advance of your trip using your My Disney Experience account or the associated mobile app.

Wishing you many magical moments during your upcoming vacation.
