Welcome to planDisney, Sandra! Let's get you set up with theme park tickets for your May visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort.
If you buy date-based
theme park tickets for vacations beginning on January 9, 2024, or later, you do not have to decide in advance what park you are going to visit unless you are purchasing a 1-day theme park ticket. 1-day theme park tickets are tied to a specific park and the price varies depending on both the date
and the theme park you are visiting. If you're visiting after January 9, 2024, and you purchase date-based tickets for more than 1 day, you will select the dates you'd like to visit on the calendar when making the purchase, but you'll be able to decide the morning of each park visit which park you'd like to spend time in for the day!
While tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, if you need to make a change, you are usually able to apply the amount you've paid for your theme park tickets to new tickets for a later date. Just note that if the new dates are more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference and if the new dates are less expensive, you will not receive a refund for the difference. Be sure to refer to the
Terms & Conditions page for the full details.
While you will not have to specify which parks you'd like to visit on each day when purchasing a ticket for more than 1 day, it
is a good idea to make at least a loose plan of which parks you'd like to visit for your own itinerary-planning purposes. This way, you can make a plan for
the exciting attractions you'd like to experience,
the shows you'd like to see, and, my favorite,
the restaurants at which you'd like to dine! But 2024 is the year that more flexibility returns to the resort and you will definitely have the ability to be more spontaneous if you choose.
Sandra, I hope you enjoy your spring visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. Make sure to follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog to see if the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is being offered when you are there. If it is, you will
not want to miss it.
