Hi Diana,
Welcome to planDisney! I am delighted to hEAR that you are planning a trip for May!
We just visited in December and were pleased with the
Walt Disney World® Bus Service, especially given the additional health and safety precautions in place. Buses ran regularly and we never waited more than 10 minutes for one. Bus drivers were especially helpful with guests in
Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) and Wheelchairs. Although we never had to wait for the next bus because a bus reached capacity while we were waiting to board, I will say to just be prepared since buses have limited capacity with ECVs/Scooters.
Since you will be staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, remember that you will also have access to the
Disney Skyliner. They will be able to accommodate you with your scooter. There is a separate loading area for guests who need extra time to board, so when you get to the Disney Skyliner station, just ask a Cast Member and they will be able to point you to the appropriate loading area.
As you continue to plan for your trip, be sure to review all of the information for
Services for Guests with Disabilities. When my husband had to use an ECV on one visit, we found the park guides for guests with disabilities especially helpful -
Magic Kingdom,
EPCOT,
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and
Disney's Animal Kingdom. I also suggest that you review the
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities to see which attractions will allow you to remain in your scooter on the attraction.
Diana, I hope this helps! Sending you lots of planning pixie dust!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
