Am planning a trip May 2015 with DD6 and DS4 and am curious what hotels have the best kid friendly pools? Have stayed at AKL and AOA and wanted to try something different this time, any suggestions? My DS loves pirates and DD loves princesses.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Danielle ~

My family loves taking a break from the theme parks to relax at our resort by the pool. To us, the best pool on property is Stormalong Bay which is shared by the Beach and Yacht Club Resorts. Stormalong Bay is more than a pool - it is like a 3-acre waterpark. It is perfect for little ones and includes a kiddie pool with sand in the middle to create your own masterpieces. There is a miniature slide for them as well. They also have one of the highest hotel waterslides on Disney property and 3 whirlpool spas. Your little pirate will love the life-size shipwreck featured at Stormalong Bay. The whole family will enjoy the lazy river. These resorts are very convenient to Epcot and Hollywood Studios by watercraft or walking.

If you want to stay along the Resort Monorail line, the Grand Floridian has a fabulous pool and an awesome "Alice in Wonderland" water play area. Your little princess will enjoy having a view of Cinderella Castle and dining at 1900 Park Fare.

If you are looking for a moderate resort, check out the Caribbean Beach Resort. They have pirate themed rooms and a pool that looks like a fort. There is an excellent water play area next to the main pool (Fuentes del Morro Pool). This is a large resort that is spread out so keep that in mind when making your decision.

Port Orleans Riverside has princess themed rooms. Ol' Man Island is also a great pool area with a slide and playground right next to it. You can travel to Downtown Disney by water taxi from Port Orleans which is really nice.
